State of the Planet

“All people are shareholders in the planet”

Measuring, auditing and reporting to shareholders is crucial to the business of sustaining the planet now and for our future generations. The State of the Local Planet reports feature the five indicators of water, air, forests, desertification and biodiversity, and will be televised and delivered at each Earth Champions celebration, acting as an audit of the local environment.

The aim is not to alarm, but rather to reveal in a clear and unbiased manner the condition of peoples’ immediate environment, the place they work, live and play in everyday. This close proximity of reporting gives communities something tangible and relevant they can reflect on, and ultimately have a positive effect on.

State of the ‘Local’ Planet reports have been presented at the award celebrations of Earth Champions Quests in Byron Bay (Australia), Canton Vaud (Switzerland), and Hong Kong (China).

State of the Local Planet reports will be posted here shortly.
